Programme

The proposed programme is a fishery habitat and trade center, focusing towards education and trade opportunities for the local community, serving as a platform for the locals to learn and improvise their mastery of the techniques of the fishery industry. This is in compliance towards the government’s effort to develop Kuala Sepetang as a thriving fishing village and an eco-tourism hot spot. New ideas and technology can be brought in and shared with the local community through workshops, conventions and exhibitions. Spaces also provide for trade activity including an essentials such as a market, local produce shops, eatery stalls and so on. The proposal of the project hopes to resolve the current issues and to guide the fishery industry in the future. Giving sufficient understanding of the industry for the local community is important  to preserve the state of Sungai Sepetang. The addition of an educational and trade center enhances the existing eco-tourism of Kuala Sepetang, where trade becomes the main factor for the building to be self-sustained.
