Measured Drawings and Documentations

For this practicum, we were divided into groups, my group consisted of 35 members in a combination of senior and junior students. The objective of this subject is to introduce various methods of documenting historical buildings to create an accurate preservation of the structure and its value. Using basic AutoCAD skills to draft the drawings we measured on-site, a comprehensive documentation of Royal English School, Perak was created.

A better understanding of documenting historical building was gained from its outcome. Furthermore, it gave exposure towards application of architectural documentation as well as ideas of preserving and valuing cultural heritage. On-site fieldwork and hands-on measurements proved to be an eye-opening experience, as it allows us to look further into details through our own senses.
