Aware of the importance of managing a project in an orderly manner, this module aim to provide a hands-on learning experience where students were given the opportunity to understand the roles of various parties in handling a project. It is an experience which take into account of operation of a project in the real world.

Project: Defining And Documenting A Residential Construction Project

A site visit introduced our group to a client and a 2 storey end lot link house. The project requires the team to propose a design for the renovation of the house up to pre-tender stage. The project was handled by a group of 7, we each of us partaking in different roles representing an actual committee of consultants working on the project. This is to help students become familiarize witht the concept of handling a project and holding CCM meetings. Our tutor takes the role of a client representative with strict requirements for meeting the project criteria. The meeting minutes were recorded by the group members, to which we took turns, lasting a total of 6 CCM meetings.
